• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Apologies as I’m not sure how to copy links here, but we’ve signed Andreas Sondegaard from Wolves until the end of the season.

Edit: just realised he’s a free agent, not on loan from Wolves.

22, been with Wolves for a couple of seasons but never played 1st team football, only senior appearances have been 1 for Randers in Denmark and 4 for Hereford. Very inexperienced so doesn't sound like a first team challenger but would love to be surprised!

Brilliant news, well done the owners and management.fabulous

That's about our standard for incoming transfers at the moment, and it's 1 more than we recruited in January. Very underwhelming.

Our only option with window closed I'm afraid.
Signed until end of season. I imagine he'll be on the bench.

I would have preferred an "old head" behind our young defence,

I'm loving your new persona, but am a little worried that Martin and the team have broken you...

Huddersfield signed Czech Republic international goalkeeper Tomáš Vaclík on January 31st till the end of the season, so there were options out there.

"Fast approaching 500 career appearances to his name at 33 years of age, the six foot three tall goalkeeper has also appeared over 50 times for Czech Republic, playing against England at EURO 2020 as the country’s first choice at the tournament."

I’d imagine he’s on a decent wage, that would rule him out straight away.

Ridiculous though isn't it because that is a huge and significant position with our wobbly defence and allegedly were going to stump up big cash for the WBA striker. I guess an 8 year old would be saying we need a keeper or we are going to lose more matches than win. Fisher did make a couple of decent saves against Blackpool and had no chance with the goal in fairness but he is not the answer right now.

For me the goalkeeper is the position we needed to strengthen most, especially following Benda's injury.
ludicrous that we didn't sign a decent replacement
