I have to say that it looks a stronger league, but a more competitive and even one if that’s possible! You’re not gonna have a Leeds or Burnley who were streets ahead of everyone. Even Sheff Utd won’t have a season like the one they’ve just had. We’ve got as good a chance as maybe 12-15 other clubs.

Someone needs to provide competition for those 3 and I know for a fact all the Cardiff fans think they can put them in their place.

It's hard to tell how the clubs coming down will do. Burnley regrouped quickly and went straight back up. Sheffield United nearly did it too. But Luton imploded.

I think Ipswich probably look best placed to challenge. Leicester look a mess, I don't know where they go next, I think they're in much worse nick than when they came down 2 years ago. Saints, hard to tell how they will do, the new coach is an unknown quantity in English football.

Wrexham and Birmingham I would expect to fare a lot better than the teams who went down. Charlton I'm not so sure.

Overall, I think the division is probably slightly harder next year, mainly because of the top two coming up and the cash behind them.

It'll probably be the same old Championship, where you can look at any number of clubs pre-season and think they'll be really strong and it's going to be really tough, then as the games go on, you realize everyone bar 1-2 at the top and 1-2 at the bottom is standard issue Championship bi-polar bang-average and there's not much to fear at all except your own clubs ability to self-destruct.
