NFL 2024

Do you know much about getting tickets for the games there? If the fixttures fall correctly I'm hoping to go on 28th September (Depending on fixtures!) I'm trying to work out a rough cost now but obviously there's no real way of knowing without having been before. And I find US sports tickets seem to vary so massively. When we were in NY minimum I would have paid for the Rangers was $100, but the Islanders was $40!
I have checked back on a credit card statement and my ticket for the Vikings game last January was £110. I didn’t buy in advance as the weather forecast was a bit iffy for next two to three days, so was a walk up on the day; quite surprising to see open seats considering it was the Divisional Championship game. On other occasions I have been to NFL, those were mostly walk ups, albeit Bills and Titans rather than in Detroit. I think advance ticket purchase works in much same way as our footy.

We were there a few years ago and looked at taking a Rangers match in, but the tickets they still had for sale were extortionate. I think it was the equivalent of £200 quid for a very restricted view - mental. We passed up on it.

Went to see a couple of baseball games out there, tickets for the Angels were very reasonable but the Red Sox tickets were steep.

We're out in New York next month, so wrong time of the year for NFL games unfortunately. Having said that, I went to a Giants game in December around 20 years ago and I don't think I've ever been as cold again as I was that night...

Not a huge basketball fan, but had a look at ticket prices earlier anyway out of interest. Significantly cheaper to go watch the Nets in Brooklyn than the Knicks in Manhattan!

I went to a Bills game like that about fifteen years ago. It didn’t snow, but the windchill meant it felt like -20°C. I had to borrow thermal gear from the locals who I went with, I would have frozen otherwise.

I was taken aback when I saw Darren had commented on this thread.

Should've guessed why 😁

Well I think there were 2 surprises in the NFC maybe not the Commanders but definitely the Rams. What a dropoff from the Vikings, potential first seed to out in the space of two games. Crazy.

There was always the sneaking suspicion that Darnold would revert to type and fall apart once the playoffs started. Hopefully the QB that the Vikings drafted is ready for next season.

Would love to see wins for the Texans, Lions, Rams and Bills this weekend. Other than the Rams, I'd be happy for any of those teams to win it as I always root for teams that have never won the Super Bowl once the 49ers are out. A Lions vs Bills Super Bowl would be perfect for me.

Also a Bills and Lions match up for me. The first NFL team I saw live versus the last one.

I was not so surprised at the Commanders win, they were 12-5 in a significantly harder division than the 10-7 Bucs. Home field advantage for the Bucs would have levelled it up a little, but they were quite inconsistent over the season.

42 points scored in the 2nd quarter of the Lions v Commanders game👀. This game’s going to break some records.

Preston North End v Swansea City
