• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

This is the first time this season I've seen a Raiders match from the start. They've a new offensive coordinator so I'm not sure who is accountable for their very brittle offense.

One event in particular that caught my attention. Miami were in the red zone when a flag was thrown for offensive holding. The play was replayed on the stadium screens and there was a clear face mask penalty on a Raiders defender. This prompted a second flag.

Morally that was ok, but according to the officiating rules that second flag should not have been thrown.

Another significant win for the Lions. Was up in the night so caught some of it; GB were very good but they were outsmarted by some proper gutsy stuff in Q4. Good to get the play off berth secured as there are a couple of tough games ahead.

My 49ers are looking out of it this year, a combination of injuries and perhaps age-related decline in some players. Barring a miracle resurgence for them, I'm rooting for the Lions. They were unfortunate against us in the NFC Championship game last year and I can't think of a team/fanbase who deserve a title more. Would also be amazing if Hutchinson came back for the Superbowl if they make it, as is being reported.

Detroit Lions - everyone’s second favourite team 💪
(Except for CSF and myself 😁).

I'm not optimistic, but that happens each week. And each week they pull it out of the bag. On Thursday they only had something like 4 defensive players who started in week one. And still won against the Packers. Lost Hutchinson, lost Anzalone and others. Will be interesting to see who they can get back for the Bills game. That will be a true test.

Eleven wins on the bounce is no fluke.

We all want a Falcons road win tonight 💪

And with that they’ve just turned the ball over to Minnesota.

KC must have found a field full of four leaf clovers this season. Quite unbelievable. They need to save some of this luck for the playoffs.

It’s a remarkable season for them. The AFC West is pretty strong this year and this linked with their one possession games means that the picture could have looked entirely different.

There's definitely some dark magic sh*t going on with them. They've made a deal with the devil and it'll be interesting to see what the price was..

Its every fking week. Its is to large extent sour grapes. My beloved Patriots were perceived to be fortuitous. I just dont want them to threepeat. It sucks that KC are wiping out all the records everyone though the Pats would have if not forever, then for long while. The fact that KC came along while pats were just topping out their Dynasty is really surprising. I can see KC rewriting every record. Mahomes has another decade. :(

This comment I saw earlier is almost certainly going to be the case:

The Chiefs are going to win the Super Bowl off a Patrick Mahones INT that gets fumbled and returned for a TD

Its turning into a nail-biting chase to the playoffs and the conference. Commanders did us a great favour last week, nothing silly against the 49ers and then more than likely a shootout against the Vikes for the conference and division top spot.

In other news that really belongs on the NFL 2025 thread, my wife and I have booked a road trip for September 2025. Taking in Boston, Ithaca, Niagara Falls, Cleveland, DETROIT, Holland Michigan, and Chicago.

In Detroit on a Sunday so my hope is the fixtures fall our way and I'll be able to see them live.

The 49ers game is huge and for this reason it will be tougher than it perhaps is on paper.

The road trip sounds great. Have been to Boston a few times for work and only once socially; trying to get my Mrs to agree to a fall trip in October half term, but she’s distinctly uninterested. Niagara on the Lake is also a nice stop for lunch if you’re in the vicinity.
