• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

I'm jealous, I've only seen the 49ers at Wembley. I've seen 4 games in the States, but none involved in the 49ers.

Were you there for Kaepernick's ridiculous performance against the Packers, or the historic comeback in Atlanta?

I am trying to see the positives for the Raiders. They shut out the Colts in quarters 1 and 4.

There. That's the positives.

It was the crazy Kaepernick game against the packers. Got very lucky with some last minute resale tickets for about $100 and obviously picked an excellent one!

I’m patiently waiting for them to come back to the UK.

Some big love here for San Fran. I have no liking for them whatsoever despite having an amazing holiday there a couple of years ago.

I bought a 49ers jacket in Goodwill( like Oxfam shop) for $5. It was reversable black 1 side and red the other with multiple patched on each side) Beautiful coat.I bought it because it was a fantastic coat, noy becuase it was 49ers. I gave it to a 49s fan at work. I found a picture of itas it goes. The red lining as actually the other side. I wore it to death before I gave it away. 1759943210047.png

Only an occasional poster on here, it's the Seahawks for me. Good to see a few divisional rival supporters in here too.

Saw a few games in Wembley back in the 80’s and watched the highlights on TV for a while, but the constant breaks and adverts eventually did my swede in and I stopped watching.

Growing up I had 2 teams that I always looked out for, the Broncos and the Pats. The latter were my favs though and I can remember them going all the way to Super Bowl XX from a wildcard play off place.

The Bears smashed them in the Super Bowl and it was a hard watch. Fav players were Stanley Morgan good old fashioned Welsh name and Steve Grogan the old head QB.

Don’t watch the NFL as much these days, but the Pats are my No 1 team.

If you have Sky and want to get back into it, I strongly recommend watching Redzone on Sky Sports Mix on Sundays. You get the channel for free with the basic package (no need to pay for Sky Sports) and Redzone shows all the fun stuff from all the early and late games. Great fun.

I have mentioned elsewhere, My name on Patsfans is Stanley Grogan in honour of the two players you mentioned. They combined on a legendary touchdown to beat Miami and make the playoffs right at the death back in 86/87 season (Knocked out by Denver that year, a year after getting mangled by Da Bears in SB)
