I've been a Raiders fan since stumbling upon them during Channel 4's NFL coverage of the strike-shortened 1982 season.

I lived within reasonably easy reach of their home grounds in the 1990s so got to attend a few games. The atmosphere at these matches was always edgy (at a minimum) and sometimes really bloody nasty. To be honest, looking back, I didn't massively enjoy them. However as the Raiders rarely sold out and were blacked out in the local area, going to matches was the only way of seeing their games.

The Raiders have been so bad for so long that nowadays I view them as a bit of a joke. Their apparent compulsion to make risky acquisitions never seems to wane.

Maybe next year, eh?

I'm assuming Geno is one of the risky acquisitions? Darnold for the Seahawks is a massive upgrade

Some big love here for San Fran. I have no liking for them whatsoever despite having an amazing holiday there a couple of years ago.
Tennessee titans for me , been to the stadium several times for the music festival. Also been to see Nashville SC in soccer at Geodis park. Titans are building a state of the art new stadium right next to their current home.

Living here a stones throw from Ford Field - the most encouraging thing is the total absence of love for the Green Bay Fudge Packers. They are normally a magnet for foreign fans whose brains have been addled by warm beer.
In fact @Smurph is the only one who went with an NFC North rival - and no love for the Vikings either :)

You really are an educated and classy bunch!

Hmm I’m not completely sure, there are a couple of occasional posters who have previously declared an interest in the Packers.

Was it you I had the conversation with about my mate playing with Billy Droze?

At the game vs the Browns, my wife completely surprised me. I'd already bought a good amount of clothes, usually college football related so thought I had no chance of any Lions merch at the game. Thought I would try and twist her arm to get a jersey but thought that was a long shot. Once I got to the clubshop I saw they had the Football x Football top (Detroit "soccer" style shirt) and I had to have it as I hadn't seen it for purchase even online over here. So put that in the basket and then she pointed to the black away kit and asked who I wanted. Took my chance while I had it and got Hutchinson 97 after much debate!

By the time we got to Chicago I had pretty much run out of clean clothes and was unsure whether I could wear the new black shirt in the city but only had another lions normal t-shirt to wear. Didn't end up facing too much grief especially once people heard the accent.
