I watched about 45 minutes of Aaron Rodgers rolling back the years for Pittsburgh, the glue factory was in waiting for him

The Raiders have tried their damnedest to lose this match v Jacksonville but against all odds it's 23-all in overtime. Unfortunately my race is run and I'm off to bed.

As I suspected, a difficult game that the Pats won only due to a missed extra point. Maye had a difficult time against the best pass defence in the league.(Passing yards allowed per game) A win is a win. I think its only going to get more difficult from here. Bucs and Bill coming up. As Maye puts more of himself on film for opponenets to analyse, they will make his life harder. Great QBs deal with this. He is undoubtedly a good QB. Its getting interesting.

Hi all, I've never watched any American football, what game do you suggest I watch now?
If you have NOW TV/Sky Sports, you can watch a game every Sunday night. Im not sure if there is a highlights show on normal TV any more, but you can watch stuff on YouTube. Heads up though, its a complicated game.

Start with watching highlights on YouTube, Bears v Bengals this weekend for example. You will findn some that are only 3 minutes long

All you need to know at the beginning is that a team has 4 chances to gain 10 yards (and score in the endzone) or they lose possession to the opposition. The depth of the game comes in between that

And on page 1 of this thread is a BBC Sport article which can help you pick your team. Give it a go and tell us who you land with. Somewhere later in the ten pages is a list of who supports who.

Following the Raiders is like having a mate who used to be brilliant but has lost his way, always a bit too drunk these days, saying stuff, kicking off with strangers, until it reaches the stage where you don't answer his calls as it's just too cringeworthy spending time with him.

And that's my summary of the Raiders' 30-29 defeat v the Jaguars.

Preston North End v Swansea City
