• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

When you have had less than a week with your squad ahead of the first game and you are trying to change the way that they have played for two years then you know you are going to witness mistakes and that was certainly the case for Russell Martin in his first Swans game in […]

Brendan Rodgers made a habit of absolving players who made mistakes whilst trying to do the right thing. Worked out OK.

Martin's doing everything right so far.

That's right don't blame anyone for todays shambolic Blackburn 2nd goal which ultimately cost us at least a point. Sweep it all under the carpet.

That's two errors, two goals in two games for Benda now, he looks promising but has already shown he's got a mistake in him, bit like Woodman, except Benda is better on the ball

Benda reminds me of watching the young Manuel Neuer. Just needs to add a bit of solid Fabianski. Good press conference from Martin too. Put me down in the positive camp.

I felt there was too much pressure put on Benda, but despite the two mistakes, still had plenty of confidence.
Can't blame him for.playing the system his new boss has told him to

Benda made a mistake yesterday yes, but he also made a number of fantastic 1v1 saves which I am not confident that Woodman would have gotten even close to. This is his first season as our number 1, I expect some mistakes along the way but as long as he doesn't keep repeating the same ones and learns from them he will become a great keeper.

There was long enough during the game to work out the back three might need a ball player in there. Otherwise change tactics and get rid to the half way line, wing position, which is what Mowbray has Blackburn executing. With Grimes carrying the hod and laying the bricks, you make a change, maybe get Kyle in there to link with Grimes and put Lati at right back to run the lines. As it happens Mowbray was right and they over ran us for most of the game. We had the spirit to make a good last quarter the the lancy inbreds hit the post when the game opened up. 3 1 would have been about right with 21 shots to our 7. Move on, Reading will be a better test.
