If reports are true that Burnley’s first bid was £3m I’d feel insulted if I was him, and motivated to prove my true worth.

I heard the same, even their third offer was only twice that according to what I heard and only half of what we felt he was worth.

Perhaps he had to stay in Manchester overnight on Thursday.

If he is stropping its disappointing, but I'm not that surprised given his previous attitude issues.

He needs to fućking grow up a little bit. He’s making his way in the game and is far from fame, he won’t get there without a cool persona.

Its a great point you make, but then think about the average intelligence level of a footballer.

A good point well made.

By comparison the attitude of Piroe... even when Piroe wasn't scoring he was always working.
You could see his goal meant a lot to him as well when he scored the penalty vs Boro
That wasn't the celebration of someone who didn't give a toss

Hope it's not the case. Didn't turn up for training or told not to? As per Jamie P.

RM said on Radio Wales they had spoken on Thursday Obafemi was not in the right frame of mind to play. He had laid the law down to him and that he would be back in training on Monday. He said he will have to work hard to force his way in after Piroe's recent goals.

If that’s how it was played out then well done Martin.

If I had to put money on it, I would say it was due to the deadline day scenario. He would have stayed up that way after the Stoke game until possibly yesterday morning. I fully expect him to be involved next Saturday.

He runs around but is a mute.
I suggest he YELLS for the ball next time he gets into the team.
Faaaahhhhkkkkiiing footballers!!!!!

"Because the others deserved to be in it more than them. It's that simple," said Martin when asked why Obafemi and Ntcham were omitted from the squad.

"Whoever you are, you have to really earn the right to be in the squad. I love Olivier, he's one of the most talented players we have.

"We had a real chat about it. We were disappointed with his contribution on Wednesday. I wanted the young lads on the bench. It was the hardest call we had, who to leave off the bench.

"He'll be fine. He'll be a brilliant player for us and it's up to him to make sure he comes in on Monday with the right mentality. He's a top professional and he'll be desperate to get back in the squad.

"Michael, we had a chat after the deadline day madness and both decided it was best for him to have the weekend off and that he couldn't contribute in a way that he should have. I'm a young manager and have to learn a lot, I shouldn't have brought him on Wednesday with what was going on, I made the wrong call. But I feel like we made the right call today, and Michael agreed.

"He'll come back in on Monday, we'll have a really good chat and we'll make sure he's in the right frame of mind to contribute. His head has been filled with all sorts of nonsense since we first came back in, so his energy has been a bit different.

"We need to get back to the Michael Obafemi we had from December onwards and I'm sure we will."
