Surprised to see RM admit he made a mistake

Positive signs that's he's done so, fingers crossed he's learning. He's still pretty raw as a manager and learning on the job.

their all stropping with MArtin is what i heard.
Not just oba and prioe but pato as i said. no surprise he we at his best or Priroe.
My mate who knows whats going on there big time says no one wants to play martins strange ways so they going out there to play what they know is best way with joey in charge.

Will all due respect to your mate, that sounds like a load of nonsense.

Gotta agree, if mainly for the fact that Joe is not that sort of person at all.

And the fact that his mate isn't in the know. If he was he wouldn't be spilling the beans.

It's one of our old scum mates or one of us pissing about.

He has been shyt all season. He doesnt play and suddenly we win? Strange things are afoot.

We all remember Oba's jaw dropping miss against Rotherham in the first game of the season when all he had to do was toe poke it into the empty net from five yards, but somehow managed to wrap his foot around it and clear it.
Watching MOTD this morning, I was surprised to see Bamford of Leeds doing a carbon copy against Brentford.
Is it becoming a thing?

In hindsight I think we may look back and wish we'd accepted whatever the final figure was. BBC reckon it was about £8m including add-ons.

With his attitude problems I can't see us ever getting a higher price. Not with that first touch.

I said the same at the time. Although now Cullen is crocked we are short on the ground in terms of forwards, Russ has a job on his hands.

I saw that and thought the same funnily enough.
If anything I would say it was worse than Obafemi's since it was in the middle of the goal and Oba's was a relatively tight angle outside the post.

Obafemi will only ever be a decent championship striker, that is why Southampton let him go, we see the sublime in Obafemi to the poor from one game to the next. He is inconsistent but would argue he is still young. Whether Burnley are in the Premier League or not I would imagine Vincent Kompany can be quite the lure

I was beginning to think I was the only who doesn’t really rate him very highly. You are right his first touch is poor at best, some days he couldn’t trap the proverbial bag of cement, he regularly seems to step on the ball & lose control. His link up play is poor. Too many games he is a passenger & contributes nothing. He does have good pace & needs the ball put in front of him, we don’t have the players able to do that or maybe he doesn’t put himself in the right position. He is young & still has time to develop & learn but think he needs to accept where he is at the moment & not get ahead of himself. Well done RM, never thought I’d be saying that

If it was 8 mill he wouldn't be here now, I highly doubt that figure. Wasn't it more like 3 mill with add on's?

Perhaps Burnley wanted a strop clause in the contract. If he sulks they wanted compensation and we couldn't take the risk.
