• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

If you believe the online chatter then they’re worth a total of 18 billion, which is mad all things considered.

Think it was mentioned Morse, Cravatt, Cohen & Morris combined worth is 18 billion with the rumoured inheretence
Think it's more Morse and Popstefanov with regards having the most wealth. Nigel Morris isn't short of a few nob but what I am led to believe the former are the ones with a lot of clout.

Regards the rumour about one of the owners inheriting a few billion, over heard a conversation between fans regarding this rumour yesterday....anyone know if it's true or not?

PSR means that they can't spend it anyway so it's all a bit pointless.

On paper Kaplan was a Billionaire (or close to it) for all the good it did us.
Kaplan was supposedly the money man but wasn't his net worth only around 15M?

Kaplan put up most of the initial money and according to something Levein said once "could easily afford to take the loss". Also, he and Levein own D.C. United between them which is currently valued at around $780m according to Forbes.

At the end they were putting around £10-15m a season in to cover the losses.

Cardiff are supposed to be up to thier neck in debt, but spunked 4m on a striker in January, but our new owners can't put significant funds in for new players. I'm buggered if I can work out all this profit and sustainability bolloxs.

its all a bit vague regards Kaplans worth. He clearly had a bit but it is nothing compared to the combination of the 2 I mentioned.......even Morris alone seems to be worth more than Kaplan.

We seem to be following the rules as best as we can but there are teams who just seem to ignore the rules with little to mo repercussions.

Wages are our issues.....fees can be broken down over a number of years.

That's fair enough, but surely a player costing 4 million will be on higher wages than someone costing 2 million?

A 4M player from the Swedish leagues would come with a modest wage compared to a 2M player joining from another championship team.
