One positive from today's game

The BBC's live text service told us how many minutes of extra time the Fourth Official had flagged. Not seen that before. Usually they go off and have a cup of tea at about 87 minutes. Silver linings and all that.

Of course, for the past 40-odd years, when 99 times out of a 100 we have been hanging on to a win or a draw by the skin of our teeth and knowing what's happening in the dying minutes is critical, they didn't bother offering that service. Now we are allowing opponents to score for fun against us and we can't wait for the final whistle, they decide to give us a detailed run-down. Where's Alanis Morisette when you need her...
