• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

Happened to have the Wrexham US fan page suggested to me on Facebook and had a read…a lot of cringing stuff as you can imagine…‘I can’t believe how far we’ve come’ etc. from fans who have followed the club for 2 years.

Just made me wonder, have any of our American fan base stuck around from the PL days? (Not expats)

Cringy in what way?

Guy from Texas I met through the Swans, who came over in our PL days.

My wife and I caught up with him while we were in Texas earlier this year and together we watched our 3-0 win over Blackburn before heading off to a rodeo.

That right wing Trump supporting gobbler?

San Diego Swans, who is a lovely chap, still follows us. Last time I was in Legends Bar in NYC there was zero trace of us, not one single piece of memorabilia.

Sounds like a lovely chap 👀
He's a great guy, really quiet and unassuming - he's hoping to come over before the end of the season.

He has the US subscription that enables him to watch the majority of Swans games & buys games from Swans TV that aren't included.

Cringy in what way?

In a Londonder calling Man Utd 'us' kind of way, but enhanced by the fact they didn't know anything about Wrexham until Disney. To be expected, I suppose.

Plus calling a 'goal hanger' a 'goal tender'.

Bah humbug.

Is he bringing his banjo with him?
