• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

Awful again yesterday but let's be honest, it's been our main problem for at least the last two seasons, the club know it so when is it going to get addressed because if the defence stayd as it is we are going nowhere again this season.
Those three goals were embarrassing.

The 3 CH's are all a bit lightweight when pressure is on and slow to react, no way are we relaxed and confident.

Look at our first goal handed away yesterday, scorer totally unmarked although 2/3 swans players stood near him doing nothing, second goal, wood chests it into his own goal like what the actual fuck and the third goal speaks for itself. Those three examples are nothing to do with being lightweight and everything to do with being really rubbish at football.

Just 7 goals conceded in our last 9 games of last season. 5 clean sheets. Massive improvement after we changed our shape, even with Fisher and Latibeaudiere in the team. It can't just be useless players.

Martin - belatedly - found that a back 4 was the best setup to mask a very weak pool of CB options. It stopped the ball coming at them so often, so we conceded fewer goals. It doesn't mean they improved as individuals, it's just they were exposed less. Yet even on the final day against West Brom they were still making clangers, evidenced in particular by WBA's first goal, which our CBs handed to them on a plate.

The other thing about end of season games is they need to be taken with a pinch of salt. Half the teams we played were on the beach, and we also knew we were safe with 10 games to go, there was no pressure. End of season can be a funny time, I'm always wary of reading too much into it.

Our three centre backs are too similar to play alongside each other, they are all equally poor defensively...
