Yea there's some embarrassing overreactions.

Tonight was frustrating but soton are a premier league team at the end of the day.

This isn't a dig at you but does it mean we have to defend like a league two team just because we are playing a Premiership team and its not just tonight. Fans are worried and they should be, it means they care.

Yea but that's an overreaction in itself. We didn't defend like a league 2 team. If we had we'd have conceded more.

Caring is different to overreacting.

Ok fair enough, agree to disagree. Time will tell.

I actually watched the game, not really that bothered, first game for us in a month, yeah a bit upset but calmed down now and can see the wood for the trees, you?

Since we spent time in the Premier league and in Europe or fans have become spoiled. Lose a game or two and it's straight to sack the manager.

I have noticed that the atmosphere at games has not been very good the past 2 seasons now also. Really quiet at times.

It's because we're playing sh*t.. only the idiots wouldn't be concerned with our current plight, game after game we're making the same errors over and over again since we played Bournemouth

Bang on, some people seem to still expect performances and results like 2012-2013. We’re not the Swansea City we once were unfortunately, on and off the pitch.

One of the things that is kicking so many of our fans up the arse is the fact that Russell Martin appeared to be put on a pedestal before we’d even played a game.
We won 2 games out of 5 in his first month and people were like “omg this is amazing, the Swansea Way is back I can see exactly what he’s doing.”
I couldn’t see it then and I said so and I still can’t see it now,I also remember ECB saying the same.
Saying that I’m more than happy to see out this season and let him have a pre-season and bring in players he wants.
Mind you I’ll say it now that I’m not certain bringing in half the MK Dons team is going to take us to the heights many of our deluded fans expect.

Yea it's worrying no doubt, 4 losses on bounce, god knows how many goals conceded and high flying Huddersfield next.

But there's people saying this is the worst swans squad ever or the worst defence ever or Martin is the worst manager we've ever had.

That’s because for a lot of today’s fans it will probably be the worst squad or defence they’ve ever seen.
Average attendance these days is around 15/16 thousand about 4 times higher than it was when it was languishing in League 2 around the turn of the century. I wouldn't be surprised if a fair few of today’s fans won’t remember the John Bond, John Hollins, Frank Burrows days. The die hards and older fans will remember far worse teams than this, but newer fans won’t.

We're on the cusp of doom at the moment, needs to start from the defence first approach, we're shipping goals and it needs to be addressed, needs to leave aside his mini "Pep" agenda and concentrate on results before we tumble out of the league.. but I'm certain that he'd be too stubborn and deluded to change the obvious, our defensive shape needs fullbacks who are quick and defend, Bidwell is a decent defender when playing in a system, it's just a shame he's not quick or mobile with the football, decent defender though

Someone actually said that on the indy, I actually pmsl.

Some folk are still punch drunk on the era of 2011 to 2014.

Agree. There was a slight change in approach at the start of the season but it was far away from being the so called Swansea Way. Time was needed and still is but performances have been going backwards. There are players not suited /comfortable with the style.and maybe a couple of players that Martin knows from MK will help stabilise the team in the short term. If not then the style of play has to be changed to play to the strengths of the players available. As it is we are seeing the same type of mistakes time and time again with progress if any painfully slow.

Absolutely Clive, but the stabilise the team in the short term will probably mean we are going to have to bring in several more players in the summer if we are to be contenders next season and I just can’t see it myself.
