• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

I think it'll be the telly for me tonight in the warm after all.

Got a long drive back to Watford tonight after the game so hoping the team put me in a good mood ready for the drive back

That’s a mess of a website. I make it three westbound closures from the bridge onwards. Whereas the Twitter account is only highlighting one closure at Rogiet. Let’s see.

Took me 2 hours getting to Bridgend at lunchtime from Bristol. Sounds like getting home will be more fun!

I had to do some shopping in Cardiff yesterday, it took my friend and I almost 2 1/2 hours just to get from Neath to the exit at Margam because of a car accident combined with bridge repairs

What was planned to be a short 3 hour or so trip took us better part of 6 hours

Wife’s uncle missed a long haul flight today on account of the roadworks, closures of the Severn bridges etc.

I don’t know if it’s the weather, pants driving or a combination of both, but there have been loads of delays on the M4 across Wales the last few weeks.

The POW bridge is closed tonight as they hope to sort the light poles out. We’re supposed to be a global power - we’re a joke it’s @@@@@@@ mental.

None of these planned closures materialised. I left Heathrow Airport car park at 8pm and fearing the worst, but was back in Llanelli before 11pm, and even the PoW bridge was open westbound. Some sections of M4 down to single lane, but none of the listings on Traffic Wales became reality. Much the same going east, but the footy fans will have to use the old bridge as PoW is closed eastbound due to the emergency with the lights. Safe travels if you're on the road tonight.

The M4 Slip road for Britton Ferry/Baglan east bound was closed from 8pm so that went ahead you had to drive on one junction

Isn't getting to Llanelli earlier than expected worse than the worst?

😆

My Pompey supporting mate was there last night, lives in Axbridge near Cheddar, and it took him 3 hours to get home at 1am. He was also at Charlton on Saturday completing an 8 hour 400 mile round trip to watch 12 minutes of football. I've always admired his dedication but you'd think the last 4 days would break most people.
