• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Some good points. Swansea will potentially accommodate 50 000 students at its peak. With this in mind, let's hope theres a queue of retailers waiting in the wings to take advantage of this huge increase in potential customer footfall. Not sure that an indoor crazy golf centre is going to transform the fortunes of Swansea. But there again I'm no retail guru😉

Crikey. As many as Bristol.

As to Brexshit, European students have halved. Many now dependent on China, with UG courses losing money and PG more than compensating. Not sure of the sustainability. Research is heavily hit by Brexshit. As with everything relating to that clusterfuck, it’s a massive act of self harm.

So I've been told yes. Must be about right, by the amount of student accommodation being chucked up.
As to whether it will last who knows, there are many factors that will influence if it's a success or not. The investment has been huge.

Universities are in the hotel business now, education comes a long way behind numbers, preferably overseas paying over 17k for fees. And then they cut off the European pipeline…

The whole idea of a University’s purpose to be to make money, sickens me to my very core.

Anyway, is it time for the pottery, to warm up for Happy Valley (Knezevic’s (or Susan Lynch) will kill Tommeh, after Ryan gives him away and saves Catherine. Catherine and her sister will be reconciled, and they will drive off with Ryan in her Landrover in triumph).

I seem to recall every good bakery, sold dead flies, loads of them always piled up in the shop window.🤔
