Surely any club with ambition should be looking to build a squad around its best players ? So many fans thinking of themselves as businessmen & supporting a regime where we are truly being taken for a ride by absent owners & lack of ambition.
Serious question...
Do you honestly think we have any option but not to sell?
Piroe wants to play in the Premier League and this is his best shot.
He holds all the cards and it's not an option to hold him to his contact...
You can see this yea

I think Norwich.

If a decent offer comes in & the player wants out then that is one route. However, many fans seem to be making out that we have to sell him to get others in. When Piroe was signed the fee & his wages were known to the club & should have been part of their budget for the term of his contract. So many making out that we have to sell when when actually we do not.
Now answer my question, do you think that the characteristic of an ambitious club is to sell its best players & restart the re-building process every season ? … because that is what lots of our financial ‘expert’ fans seem to be advocating.
We are one poor recruitment or transfer window away from the trap door if that is our so called operational model

He’s an ex Ipswich player, so going to Norwich may not be that appealing to him and he could find it a challenge to win the fans over. Likely to get the same reaction a Cardiff player coming here would get.

What you are failing to understand is that we are running on a deficit, if we don't sell him this year who is going to pay for the squad and staff wages and the gas and electric? You?
Maybe you've been away so you didn't notice but we've always been a selling club so unless we find a billionaire owner who needs to launder money that won't change.
You don't need to be a financial expert to see that you just need to get your head out of your backside.

We have resisted bids in the past for good players, Rangel, Bodde, Trundle, Williams etc. It was only when players indicated that they wanted out that the club backed away. So many fans with the small town mentality & lack of ambition using financial ‘expertise’ to justify flawed logic.
