• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

I dont dislike Charlton I might add, but am very fond indeed of the Os for reasons already discussed(several times) This is rare time when I am, as aneutral, 100% rooting for one side rather than the other.
Always enjoyed going to Orient when we were in the same division as them. Pleasant fans and great fun watching the people who live in the corner flats by the away end taking stick graciously. But NJ aside, I have nothing against Charlton. Also a decent bunch of supporters you can have a pre-match chat with without fear of being decked (unlike many other London clubs). Marginally easier to get to Orient than Charlton but not much in it.

What a delight it was to see the dinosaur Chris Wilder and his expensively accumulated squad lose out for another season in the Championship, and this time on far less parachute payments.

As for the Charlton opener in 2008, a disappointing start by Swans in front of 3,300 travelling fans, conceding both goals from set pieces - a corner and a f/kick, with the 1st goal scored after 110 seconds. Monk s/off, his 2nd yellow on 69 minutes.

Mattie Collins started at right back, arguably Martinez's worst signing for the Swans.

I remember fondly the meltdown on the forums afterwards

'Leon Britton out of his depth'

Former Swans academy c/back, Morriston born lad Joe Lewis lining up for Wimbledon in their Play Off Final, League Two v Walsall at Wembley.

Walsall's lead at the top of L2 earlier this season then totally employed.

Adomah will be on the move again 😉

Walsall were flying at the start of the season but after striker Nathan Lowe who had scored 18 gls had returned to Stoke they fell away dramatically.
