• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Well, my French mate's club Metz made it back into France's top division via a very impressive performance in the second leg of the play off final last night away at Reims, which they won 3-1 after extra time, having drawn the first leg 1-1 last week.
The player I said we ought to recruit as a replacement for O'Brien, Gauthier Hein, was the man of the match, creating the second goal and scoring the third with impressive skill. I recommend you watch the four minutes of highlights on Flash Scores. This lad is 28 and is valued at 3.2 million euros according to the site. A steal. Go and get him, Gorringe!

I know nothing about him other than the above and Fotmob stats. However, these are very impressive. Best in league for successful passes, pass accuracy, accurate long balls, chances created (a staggering 110), successful crosses, touches, recoveries and penalties scored (6). Clearly a top talent at Ligue two level. Average Fotmob score 7.83, which is exceptionally good.

Fotmob has his main position as striker, but has played in all forward positions.

He's not a striker, he's very much an attack minded midfield general. He's quite short and slight, not a striker by any means.

Sounds more of a 10 or a false 9 than an out and out striker. Clearly very talented.

For context Finn Azaz was the Championship's leading chance creator with 88 from 45 games. Hein created 110 chances from just 33 games, 50 per cent more on a 90 minutes basis than Azaz. Impressive.

Not convinced on the blue hair
Saying that though that left foot of his seems lethal
The way he consistently finds the bottom corner right next to or even off the post itself is remarkable
Looks like he would thrive in a number 10 position

52,115 attendance. A reflection that both these teams have played higher up in the pyramid
New record for a National League game

And now the ref’s been subbed. Suffering from cramp.
