I remember it well ,Train special to plymouth ,nearly crushed at the turnstiles ,back home in swansea for match of the day,we watched it in the toby and salty mumbles pier.

I couldn’t believe we were on match of the day. Jimmy Hill said nice things.

In those days seeing your team on the box was almost unthinkable. Brilliant days, with a brilliant team sprinkled with our own who would shed blood for their hometown team.

I think 77 to 82 was even better than 04 to 13 for me, even if that is a bit of nostalgia. Much more wide eyed in those days.

Crudgington ended up down there. My favourite Swans player, possibly ever.

I was there , another train job, found it very strange walking through a park to footy ground!

One of my favourite trips always remember the scarves swirling around our heads. Went in car with two mates and slept in the car. Couldn't do that now.

At Halftime ,over the Tannoys ,they played the swansea city song which was new then, and thats when we all swirled the scarves .

Drove down from the Midlands for the Southend game the week before (we won 3-2)

On the way back had to go through Cardiff and waiting at some traffic lights the car behind decided to use my car to stop instead of his brakes.

Plan was to go to Plymouth by car but was a no no as it could just about be driven home at a slow speed and then wait for insurance to be sorted before car was fixed.

Change of plan then to go by train. Easy you would think but I'd have had to leave just after HT to get the last train back.

At least I got to see a few minutes on MOTD
