Interesting comments from Martin about Pato situation were he basically said that it was never about the money. My guess is that Pato, due to his age and what happened at Bristol, wanted a longer contract than the one that was triggered early.

Maybe he was not being a greedy vagina but simply wanted more security that a longer contract would have given him.

What's people's thoughts on that?

I'd be guessing many wouldn't give 2 shits, it's when he crosses that white line he'll be judged.
 
The way I took it was that he wanted to feel appreciated and by not getting a wage increase he didn't feel as if he was.. So is it just a play on words? I thought that when first announced that the contract was extended RM said that there was a small increase. We won't know the full story so need him settled and see what happens at the end of the season.
 
IMO he probably requested minimum of 2 years with a wage increase
