Preston Tickets Sold Out!

How anyone can criticize the club for giving away free tickets to worthy causes in the community is beyond me.

I'm not criticising. My point is that selling tickets for Tuesday night linked with the Bristol City game wouldn't have necessarily impacted yesterday's attendance. Unless they made that game free too.

And also that the people of Swansea aren't turning up in their droves to see Snoop Dogg.

Whether the stadium is full or not will also remain to be seen given it's a 7:45 kick off two days after the schools are back and a significant portion of the crowd won't have paid for their ticket.

They should do it more often rather than having empty seats
Completely agree.

Have said so for ages.

Firstly, although the tickets don’t make anything, the ancillary spend does.

Secondly it garners new support who may end up paying in the future.

Only downside - if there are tickets bought by Snoop, it doesn’t count for PSR…

Yes, the linked point is a good one.

If there are loads of tickets being given away then my point about linking the matches doesn’t stand and I withdraw it.

It's nuts, almost an all time low for certain sections of this fanbase.
They could have linked it to the next three home games and someone would say “yeah it’s great we done that, good for the coffers etc, but they should have linked it to the next six games”.

This ownership group will never be able to do right by some, it will always be a yeah but.

Presumably the thinking is that they'll be social media-ing the shit out of Snoop's visit and want to do so without the amount of empty seats in the background you'd usually associate with a mid table game against Preston on a Tuesday night in February.

Which is fine by me.

Agreed.

Players get complimentary tickets. Staff get them. The kitmen are the ones who arrange it for the players. No event in exsistense is sold out by every single die hard fan. It's combination. Let's just be happy it's full house.

If they're giving them out to all the kids local football teams then it's more than the players having a few tickets.

Not that it makes any difference... It just means that people aren't turning up to watch Snoop Dogg. Football fans in Swansea are hardly his demographic

If you think a few thousand haven’t bought tickets just because the Dogg is going to be there, you’ve definitely misread the room. Big time.
