Odds on to sign for that lot...

So it could be Bale and Ramsey there next season, fuck me sideways :(

Would worry more if he signed for them than Bale to be honest.

Fair play, if that happens they've got a jackpot in terms of the boost it will give the whole place. It will be like when we got Toshack, or when Leon, Martinez and Curt came back...lifts everything. I'm not sure how much they'd bring on the field, especially after the world cup, but there's no denying it will help them.

They are the spawniest bunch of cockroaches ever, so it will probably happen.

I think he's a shoe in for Cardiff. I'm more certain this is his last season than Bale. However, his injury record is far worse than even Bale, and he isn't going to want to miss out on the World Cup. If he goes, we'll probably see some big performances in August, but he'll be on the wind down from the international break which, although it is later than the usual first break, is soon enough in the season to ensure he won't make a major impact on their campaign before Christmas. The only danger is if they're in the mix towards the end of the season, he's clearly going to be a big player for them in those matches. But it's a whopping if.

Neither need the coin at this stage of their careers, both multi, multi millionaires. It's going back to your boyhood team for one last hurrah.

And all credit to them if they do end up going there. I'm sure both could go to China, the Middle East or the States for a final payday, which is the more popular route these days. If they do go to play for their hometown club in a highly competitive division for relative peanuts, then fair play.

It's just a shame for us that it's Cardiff who benefit from the situation.

They could indeed go to China, but its a violative area of the World at the moment, would you go there, I certainly wouldn't, they could go to the MLS though, but home is home afterall.

I still think they'll only go there if there is not a better UK offer. The 'home club' thing will be a factor but not the only deciding one. They certainly won't play for nothing, but I suppose the image rights will give them a wedge - they won't give that to Vinnie Tan, I wouldn't think. Nobody ever has enough money these days. If the likes of Villa - or maybe Everton - weigh in with the cash and a PL contract for a year or two, my bet is they'll be there and forget Cardiff in a heartbeat. Their injury records and the clear intention that it's all about the world cup not the club might mean other offers are non-existent.

He didn't exactly sparkle in the SPL last season.

They'd both be risky signings. The wrong side of 30, expensive with more interest in being fit for the World Cup than in slogging it out in the Championship. Could pay off, could be a disaster.

Agents will certainly want their well earned hefty slice of Moolah too. When the hell is that CAS ruling on Sala due? The hearing was ages ago.

Bale and Ramsey will have one focus this coming season and here's some news for the fans of wherever they sign for, it won't be you.

Just underlines how utterly ridiculous it is to play a World Cup mid-season. If we sign Allen, there'll be similar questions marks although he won't be protecting himself quite as much in the lead up to the World Cup.
