This time last year and to a certain extent the season before we were often winning games by the odd strike at goal having been under the cosh for most of the game. There has been for sometime an air of fragility about us at the back which starts at a lack of a dog in midfield. Korey Smith has been an excellent signing just quietly going about doing his job and giving our defence an air of confidence that we can nullify any threat from the opposition.

Joe Rodon now looks one of the best defensive players in this division, I only hope we can hold onto him, if the front line starts clicking this could be an exciting season.

My fear for Joe is he'll get another long lay injury or end up not reaching his potential if he remains at Swansea.
Selfishly, I want him to stay. But it would be a gamble for a Premier League quality player as we have seen with Conor Roberts.
