Relegation? Should We Be Worried?

Widell isn't a loan, I'm hopeful if he can get a run of games we'll see improvements. Swap Benson for Congreve perhaps. It's the 1st season for a lot of these players, remember what Vipotnic was like last year (although he got pitiful service anyway)

I did not say he was a loan. We may need to send him back to Scandinavia to raise money for upgrades and he is well known there so may have suitors. People keep repeating this line about Vipotnik as if he has been an undeniable success, he is a great finisher but does very little else. He has only scored in one of the last nine league games. We will sell him for profit and without his goals we would already be relegated but he does look like a one dimensional and limited Championship striker and I am not sure his overall performances have improved that much but just had a few great finishes that went in that did not last season.

None of the new signings besides Gabraith have strolled in to the side and made the position their own, take from that what you will. We have clueless clowns running the club at boardroom level and a rookie manager in charge, what could possibly go wrong?

Time people woke up. Other outlets claim to have sources and shut down certain narratives, whilst on here we’ve been subjected to shills like Risca who have been bigging up the likes of Cravatt for a number of years, obviously on the hook of someone who has miraculously wound up in a senior recruitment position at the club. It’s time to wake up people, it’s almost too late. We’ve been taken for a ride.

I don't think we have been taken for a ride, I believe the new owners have good intentions.
Regards Dimi, he's clearly not delivered what was required and the recruitment wasn't done very well given our surplus of midfielders, no right back of note to push Key and wingers who are all quite similar. Dimi is out of his depth and the owners need to tell him goodbye.

As things stand, you have to say we are in the shadow of relegation, no doubt. That can change of course, but we are where we are. There's a strengthening feeling that this squad has no clothes.

Zooming out and looking at the bigger picture, this is all rather predictable. We've been on a gradual downward trend since relegation, trying to catch a falling knife. The tide has been slowly going out, and whilst the occasional wave will push back up the beach a bit, the gradual pull backwards is inevitable until you reach the low tide mark,

Of course, we're a football club, not Swansea Bay, so it is possible for us to push back up the beach, but we really are in last chance saloon here I think. We need, not a miracle, but a great story with Matos. If he doesn't work out, we'll be done for, and so will Gorringe and his gang. We might even be looking for new owners in League 1 if it happens - not sure about the appetite of 'Jason & Brett' to do a Birmingham and splash tens of millions on buying their way out of that league.

Anyway, all rather depressing talking like this. Let's get fully behind VM and hope we're at the beginning of a great story here by pulling this unknown out of obscurity and him leading us back to positivity. We saw with the quick turnaround from the misery of Williams' last few months to the rejuvenation under Sheehan that positive change can happen quickly (but also how it can disappear just as quick...)

Yes we should be worried. Appointing Matos at this stage of the season is quite unbelievable, we needed an experienced manager who was capable of integrating an entirely new squad into something resembling a football team not a novice from the Portuguese second division.

For me this is almost up there with Cullis and Molesworthy, incredible that we are appointing managers on the strength of their interview technique and ideologies, all this talk of high press and attacking football is just that..,,,talk!!

We really are in a mess, as much as I respect Allen and Leon we should have had a proper support team in place on Tuesday after all we had nearly two weeks to sort things out, this is probably the biggest bollock we’ve dropped since Bradley we really are up the Tawe without a paddle.

Agree with the sentiment.

Yeah, they'll be furious when they find out who appointed an internet troll to do the recruitment.

There are two really positive things for me. Firstly, it's November, not March, and secondly I've not seen a lot from other teams that says the quality of the league is anything but meh.

We were at least as good or better than Preston, Charlton, Millwall and others I've forgotten, but not getting the results, mainly by hardly trying to win, has put the team and us into a doom loop. We've also been crushed by shit like Brizzle through stupid defensive errors.

So, no need to throw the towel in, and hopefully the new bloke can put a stake in the heart of the last 6 months.

To nick your metaphor, the tide can turn.

I’ve calmed down a bit now.
I’ll be honest, before we shit the bed, we looked very good and I was enjoying.
Fingers (everything) crossed that he can sort us out in the final 3rd because at the moment, we can’t even get the ball into an area of the pitch where Vipotnik could create a chance out of nothing.
Cullen and Ronald aren’t offering anything so they’re out for me.
Widdell HAS to play

A few days ago you were accusing me of making it about personalities rather than our club. I will turn the mirror back on you.

Montague and his mate claimed the signings as their own in their statements after they were fired and it was speculated in the media and on here that he did indeed have his prints on a lot of our summer business. I was at the fans forum where he accepted their praise when they called him Lord Montague and gave him an ovation for the window too. I don’t think all was as it seemed and he was obviously a destructive influence on things, fans need to get behind the club now, negativity isn’t going to help us. Even Cabango has come out and talked about how the fan’s negativity is affecting the players.

I've said it before, theres a destructive element in our fanbase. The same fans who were enthusing at what they saw as brilliant signings in the summer are now suddenly rubbishing the decision to sign them. Fickle not to mention effing toxic.

The fans’ negativity is affecting the players…… 😂😂. If he said that he can fuck off too. There’s a whole heap of people to blame and it ain’t the fans.

Cabango is on 10k a week, deal with it, there's food banks out there, people are starving and this dull c*nt is saying hurty words are having an effect on team performance.. I'm not watching Saturday, they can gae to f*ck

We just need to attack more. Do that and you win more games than we have done by focusing on trying not to lose.
