Relegation Update

Can someone please define what the difference is between players actually throwing a game and playing badly?
Throwing is the intent to lose or play badly, whilst playing badly can happen for other reasons like psychological or fatigue but the player isn't intending to do it.

Id say the ideal scenario would be that, oxford are above scum by say a point, and if scum win it could send oxford down, if they fail to beat us. However we beat Oxford, and scum are 2 nil down at half time. so its a party all around!

Cardiff need to worry about the teams below them not above them.

Its just a theoretical scenario.....
In this instance cardiff would be 22nd oxford 21st. so would need to worry about oxford.
I get your point to a certain degree. They need to focus on what's happening below them, not above them.

By the time we play Oxford this conversation could be even more irrelevant than it already is.

However unlikely, let's hope we're not playing Oxford to survive. Hubris and Nemesis and all that. Discussing whether we should 'opt' to send Cardiff down with 9 games to go is a bit previous.

Agreed.

We should be concentrating on putting a run of form together between now and the end of a very disappointing season.

A few in our squad should be focusing on their futures with the club not where they are going on holiday as suggested by one or two on here.

Apart from when we play Cardiff home and away who gives a shit what they do on the pitch.

You reckon?

It would be forgotten quite quickly except for those down the road.
I have seen plenty of games on the last day of the season when we haven't turned up, players having one eye on their holidays etc etc.

If the scenario was that the team that we played needed to win and Cardiff went down.....we could attack the game and really go for it but if we ultimately lost despite going for it 100%......scum would still call that we did it on purpose.
It wouldn't
Coventry Bristol City in 1977 is still talked about and not just by the, rightly, aggrieved Sunderland fans

Oh, but I would like them relegated though! And Stoke and Luton come to that.

As the saying goes 'I was there'

K.O. delayed by about 15 mins

When the Sunderland result was known ( they lost at Everton) you could see the last minutes turn into a training kick about.
