Relegation Update

Draw at Leeds should give the squad huge confidence going into the final 7 games. Last game and today were free hits so now get our heads down starting by beating Derby.

So we've lost 2 points to Luton, Portsmouth and Stoke

Parity with Cardiff and Plymouth

1 point gained on Hull, Oxford and QPR

I know that wins are what we all want, but I would say that as long as we dont lose either of our next two games, we will be safe. Todays result was pretty significant.
A win next weekend would pretty much finish it off, Derby would need four wins from seven to reach 49 points if we beat them next week, and even if by some miracle they do, it's unlikely Cardiff, Stoke, Oxford and Hull all do as well. It's must not lose really, as that could put Derby right behind us again.

Results pretty much went our way today. Not many would have tipped Luton to win at Hull, Oxford lost, Cardiff got pegged back at home, Plymouth also failed to win, and Stoke beating QPR keeps the latter in the mix when a win might have got them pretty much safe. It's been a good day.

I'm still convinced that by losing to Oxford last game to send the vermin down us still " a thing".

Luckily things didn't stay as they stood. Still not out of the woods but big chance to put things to bed next weekend.
The point was a good one but the performance with us coming back from going down twice and scoring late......will certainly help the mindset.

With 7 games to go (8 for Derby), I think we'll survive the drop.

There are 8 teams below us, for us to go down 6 of those teams would need to get more points than us, Portsmouth could overtake us with the same points if they improve their goal difference, currently 3 worse than us.

To catch us and be on the same points I've shown below, some have bad goal differences so may need 1 more point.

So who are we all playing.

Playing Derby, Plymouth, Hull and Oxford, toughest game left Sunderland, as they say its in our hands.

With 7 games left and the opponents we all have, it would need some sort of disaster for 6 of those teams to pass us.

Cardiff are right in trouble, looking at those fixtures I can only see about 7 points maximum.

Don't fancy Portsmouth and Hull run inne
