Robbie James

What a player without a doubt a Swans Legend, only gave 100% every game. My all time favourite Swans player

Cant believe it's almost 25 years since his passing, seems like yesterday, where has the time gone.
Absolute legend. RIP.

My all time favourite as well

Sadly missed - happy heavenly birthday Robbie #YJB

It’s strange in a way when I look back at Robbie’s career in that he never went onto play for a big club (apart from us) if you get my drift?
When I think of him now and look at the Premier League today I reckon he could walk into most sides in the top six or at least be a very valid squad member but back then he didn’t.
(same for AC)
Does that make sense to anyone else?

Imagine if he had stayed at Arsenal as a youngster instead of coming back to Swansea due to being homesick.
Part of me thinks maybe he wouldn't have had the same opportunities to develop as he did with Swans.
Another part thinks he had the ability to have gone on to even greater fame winning trophies with Arsenal.
Oddly enough I was down Steboneath Park this afternoon and was chatting to some friends about him.

Yes I agree. I kind of see him at least on the bench of todays top six but he never really got that high, again if you get my drift?

Yes there were so many brilliant players back then and the standards were so high that think only Curt had the edge to have made it with any club.
We are so privileged to have seen the very best of Curtis, Charles and Robbie.

Absolutely though you’re a lot older than me. 👀

Recall being in London with the lads for my birthday, and Robbie was playing for QPR. We chose to watch em playing Wimbledon as the other game in London was West Ham v Chelsea ( fck that!).
So there we were in the stand singing 'oh Robbie Robbie' ( you know the rest). He looked over and gave us a wave....never forget it.
Cockneys looking on bemused. Great day.
