When Rocky was stationed here in WW2 he used to catch the Mumbles train into Swansea and train in the infamous Jimmy Wilde's in Alexandra Road - opposite High Street station.
Plus you have Rocky's fight with Australian soldiers in The Adelphi pub in Wind Street!!

Carmarthen has some wonderful stories and characters and a population of over 15,000.....everyone of those 15,000 could have played for Wales, been a British Lion, prime minister, top goalscorer for any leading club, astronaut, multiple Oscar winner, heavyweight boxing champion, bake off winner, mastermind champion even Grand National winner.....don't laugh but nearby tiny village Nantgaredig provided the 1990 Cheltenham Gold cup winner
