Russ Off

Hang on now, you didn't want the owners to give him any money to spend the other day mun

There will always be managers wanting to come here, and we rarely got for proven or good managers anyway.

Ok let's start again...I want.... The owners gone, the manager gone and the swans at the top of the prem. Just to be clear like. 😂

The club is in an absolute mess and genuinely lucky there is so much rubbish at the bottom of the league and they have 39 points as they could have been quite easily been dragged into a relegation scrap.

What’s going on at the moment is the sort of formula that will only end in disaster if not this season then certainly next season.

You’ve got an ownership group now resorting to filming videos blaming others and posting bizarre messages on Reddit. The manager clearly willing to wear his heart on his sleeve going public with his disappointment and trying to create a siege mentality with the staff and fans against the owner. You’ve got the CEO and head of recruitment sitting somewhere in the middle hinting at their disappointment with how the transfer window went but also with one eye on their jobs. This is no alignment at any level of the football club. This comes directly from the top and the football club will only go backwards.

As for Russ I think he was flat because of the manner of the defeat and how it all imploded the result was so important on Saturday although where we go from here is anyone’s guess.

Personally I think that with a likely heavy defeat at Sheffield, he'll be gone.

If we defend like that against Sheff Utd, we'll be lucky to keep it under 5.

The Blackpool game is the one I think, don't pick a win up there we, and Russ could be in trouble.

Isn't it at home...like Wigan was, like Brum was...be afraid...

edit, ah I see 'pick a win up....there' rather than 'pick a win...up there'. My first reading makes no sense anyway.

In short, agreed brother.

Yeah I'd be lying if I said I wasn't concerned...

We were lucky to keep it under 5 last Saturday, our defence is abysmal.

Cameron Toshack is now available. He's just been sacked at Leeds, along with Jesse Marsch and all the coaching staff.
I know he done great with our academy and had a very good but short spell in Cyprus, but anyone see much our U21s when he was coach to say he’d be a good number 1 for us?

Jasper is your man on the 21's.

Russy boy was a bloody defender when he played.
Surely he can teach Darling, Cabango, Lati to defend.
I know he has no chance of teaching Wood- Martin isn't a miracle worker, as he keeps showing.
The pitch invasion steward over the East would possibly do a better job. And he doesn't cost as much a game!

We are paying a defensive coach and a set piece coach- now work out who's robbing the club by thieving a wage packet!
I think the Yeehaas are sorry they ever watched Jack to a swindling bunch of b'stards and thought they were getting a good deal.
The real Swansea way. If things are being done correctly and we're doing quite well, ensure that it doesn't last.
Or break the fax machine!

No one else has fancied him, Newport turned him down for Rowberry, I'd be concerned if we took him on.

I watched a few of Pafos' games when he was manager and they weren't great entertainment. Started well but tailed off and wasn't meeting lofty expectations at a high-spending basket case club.

Managers who accomplished less with more in academy football have gone on to have good careers, though. As much as we spent on players in that period the majority of Cat 1 setups were spending more.
