On a day we win 4-0 and I get free Swansea water bottle.....people are talking about Steve Cooper and Russell Martin's regime!

FFS! We need to move on from that!

What I like about Matos is that right from the beginning he said how everyone had a role to play. Seems to have excellent man management skills and has the players playing for each other. That and good recruiting means that we definitely seem to have strength in depth , CB position aside, which will stand us in good stead for the rest of the season. Onwards and upwards!

Lord no.

Cooper had a strong squad, delivered tedious football but got us into the playoffs.

Martin had a strong squad, delivered tedious football, bafflingly moronic tactical choices, blamed anyone and anything but himself for our struggles and failed miserably to get anywhere near them.

Martin had a terrible squad to work with.

Yes he had Piroe, Grimes but the options off the bench were terrible Fulton, Cooper, Korey Smith, Garrick, Walsh

Compare that to today’s bench and it’s miles apart

Matos has been an excellent appointment.

Matos had Fulton on the bench today and look at what performances he’s put in recently. Martin and his fans can blame the squad all they like but it doesn’t change how shit he is.

Is that the Russel Martin who barely played Morgan Whittaker ?

With this squad he’d still insist on keeping the ball between DM and goalkeeper. Shit manager

Just read through this thread after getting back from the stadium, it is right about the smiles on faces there. It’s a pleasure to be there and watch some really good performances and great interplay eg our first goal. I thought the crowd was a little quiet in the first half but it was quite tense until we got the second goal. 4 goals and every one superb and it didn’t rain on the walk back to the car either. Excellent afternoon.
I thought the crowd sounded quieter at times. Maybe people was wary because of the past and how we tend to let teams perform against us even in there dire situation?

To be fair. Whittaker didn't help his course. Him and Obafemi was notorious for kicking off and showing off on and off the pitch. I'm not a Martin fan in anyway by the way 😊

Side note. It's interesting to see some of those usual suspects who like to say we have a poor squad every week quiet today. Look we could lose next few games and we are not suddenly Barcelona, but it's only fair to give credit to the players when they do good as you do when they are bad.

Quite a few seemed to have crawled back under their rocks, thankfully.
