I don’t think it’s a given either. I just think the cup is good for supporters, good for revenue, good for the manager to try things, good for momentum etc.

Losing that today won’t have done us any favours.

Nor will it define our season either. I'm pretty neutral about it tbh. The only pity for me is that it involved extra time, though thankfully we have some time before next game. We move on, it's better than a loss or draw in the league. That's the continuing priority, but a decent/ consistent striker and winger would be bloody useful.

I've learnt over the years not to think too deeply over football. I love the banter, I love how much the good guys on here tolerate my utter bolloxs about Celtic. This is the best and only chat I bother with on anything SCFC. My first game down the Old Lady was 73 v Workington Town, my first game fae Celtic was Hibs away at Easter Rd 82.
