you have no idea what you are taking about other than what you have read.

You know this how? Patronising and dismissive. Unable to provide a cogent response.

Theres stupidity on both sides.

The Welsh government for pulling some half cooked policy out of their arse.

Members of public for moaning they can't buy an envelope (as an example) in person, for 2 weeks.

You dont have to use Amazon to buy things online.

It's not just supermarkets. B&Q have placed a member of staff at the entrance questioning what is intended to be purchased. If you're after a paint brush then you're on to a winner however if you want some plant feed then you're knackered.

Don't plants lives matter any more?

That’s about right. The thinking behind the policy is sound enough. The communication of it and lack of decent guidance for retailers was poor. They got tied up in knots by talking about “essential” and “non-essential” when it was never really about that. It was about trying to ensure a level playing field for the non-supermarkets that have been forced to close.

The reaction of some of the public in person and in social media is fairly typical of what you’d expect these days. Depressingly stupid.

Most don’t need feeding at this time of year. Ericaceous plants like rhodies, azaleas and chlamydias* benefit from a good mulching and organic feed at this time of year as they’re putting down their buds for next spring. A handy tip for camellias is to also add a sprinkle (tea spoon for a smallish plant) of Epsom salts to a liquid feed - it helps keep the leaves a dark shiny green.

*my dad joke; makes me chuckle every time, but for some reason the Mrs doesn’t find it funny.

That seems spot on. I paid little attention as nothing is changing for our family. The kids still go to school after half term, we still work from home, and the last time I bought clothes was 2018. I assumed it wouldn’t be an issue - the rules seemed obvious enough to me. So to see that idiot in Bangor ripping apart the shop Covid measures was a bit of an eye opener. Behaviour like that is beyond what’s sensible; seems to be an extension of the culture war where you’re supposed to support it or oppose it, rather than my position which is to just accept it and not give a f*ck about it.

That said, it seems shops still didn’t have clarity on the rules for them 24 hours before the firebreak came in. That’s piss poor from the WG.

Just read that Tesco have withdraw Tampax, for repacking. They are adding mistletoe and holly, just for the Christmas period.
