Why on earth has he not seen any football this season. Was horribly exposed 2 on 1 with no winger support in the first half today but one mistake aside, dealt with it admirably and was quite excellent going forward. Quite baffling why we've decided it better to play either our best midfielder or an over the hill 36 year old at RB instead for months. Make it make sense.

He looked understandably knackered when he came off after 70 minutes
Agree in the first half he was left completely exposed with Cullen offering him absolutely zero protection
I thought he linked up really well with Ronald when he came on in the 2nd half
I hope he gets another shot at Leicester on Saturday

Matos has always seen Parker as 4th choice RB.. Maybe that will change after today.
he had a nervous 15 then was more than solid for the rest of the game. He has pace and can beat a man so it is going to be him or Key for first and second choice next season unless the carpenter comes back.

Like others have alluded too, he had no help from Cullen yesterday. How Cullen even managed a full
90 was baffling, but that’s another matter.
Better balance and link up play when Ronald came on.
Hopefully Sam will start the next five games for us.

If we ever did transition to three center halves and wingbacks his raw pace would be a real weapon. The one two with Franco and dinked cross to Eom at the back stick had echoes of the Dyer-Rangel axis of evil

Hard to believe Matos played Cullen in front of Parker he was no help to the youngster ,
We were lucky not to concede more then one ,
Much better when Ronald game on .
Sam Parker going forward was a threat lots of pace good delivery everything you want from a wide player .
Looking forward to seeing Sam Parker have more game time

Sam Parker was a joy when going forward, defensively he was up against it and that was not helped with Cullen playing between right midfield and centrally.
Cullen was clearly asked to come infield and that left Parker isolated a number of times. It was certainly a Hellberg 1 Matos 0 when it came to tactics.

Parker needs a loan next season.

Last thing he needs is a loan.

He had a standing ovation yesterday, what he needs are more starts between now and the end of the season.

This lad should be challenging for a start next season.

I'll split the difference between you and Daps. I agree with you that he should be starting the rest of the season, with Ward on the bench as cover until Key is back. If Sam struggles, then bring Key back in.

In the summer, it all depends on whether we sign anyone in that position. If not, I'm sure Matos will be looking at Parker, Key and Lissah in pre-season and deciding on the pecking order. If Key is third on his list after that (which I doubt he will be), then he should be sold. If Parker or Lissah are third on his list, then they should be loaned out for regular football somewhere. Although the caveat to that would be if it's Lissah who is third on his list, but he also thinks he could compete at centre-back, in which case he stays.

All in all, right-back is way down my personal list of priority positions for signings this summer.

I think your list of priorities for next season may need a revisit.

There is no way we can go in to next season with Josh Key as our first choice right back. As much as I like the lad, he's shown this season that at this level he gets exposed far too often.

Don't know what the plan was to protect Parker yesterday, but he was left terribly exposed in the first 25 minutes. You had an experienced full back(Tymon)on the other side protected by Eom and this poor guy left totally isolated. Awful management.

Or the manager was let down by players not carrying out his instructions. Just a thought.

The lad had a standing ovation because he kept in the battle and showed determination.
I think it was clear to most that he struggled defensively and got caught out of position quite a few times.
