My team for Saturday

Brentford had three consecutive shit performances and got 0 points.

We've had three consecutive shit performances and got 6 points.

We must end the shit performances now.

A win's a win.

Back to winning ways and another clean sheet.

With the slight 'wobble' that we're having at the moment performance-wise, I don't think we can ask for any more.

Gotta feeling Ayew more disappointed with himself/own performance. Been a while since he's scored, maybe getting to him, plus they kicked the shit out of him. Am not worried there tbh.
Brilliant 3 points, that's all we can do.

Positives

Three more points
Promotion remains in our own hands
Extended the gap over the non play off positions

1 point off 2nd place with 2 games in hand
8 points clear of 5th place with 2 games in hand

Probably only 5 wins away from a play off position being guaranteed (likely to be less)

6 points out of 9 from 3 under par performances.

We are in the hunt for promotion and to use the phrase we discussed earlier we are as serious about it as the other sides in the top 4

Hard to see the auto places coming from anyone other than the current top 4

Oh and that is 13 unbeaten at home

It's a worry at the moment that we can't seem to kill games off. Our lack of goals is really troubling. A full back scored last home game and a centre back tonight. It really is about time the forwards and midfield players started doing their bit, other teams around us are scoring goals for fun.

Great to bounce back and get a clean sheet, we could have easily caved in after a thumping on the weekend, onto Brizzle.

A match lasts an hour and a half. Shots on target: Swansea 2, Coventry 1.

It can't go on like this.

I just saw Ayew on the pitch. Just thought I’d let you know in case you thought he’d decided not to play tonight!

Was he slapping the floor?

He was moaning at the ref, so close. Not sure he added a single thing tonight. And that's not the first time. All this talk about Hourihane, I'd rather we played an extra midfielder and left Ayew out. We couldn't create less (that's barely possible), but we'd boss the games.

Grimes immense tonight, a win is a win and hopefully we will keep improving. Well done Cooper and the swans. Onwards etc..

I just hope we start too play a bit at some stage, :D

It's a very different approach to when Rodgers took us up isn't it? I can't see this lot scoring more than 2 goals to beat Reading in the PO final. We just have to hope we can keep grinding results out even though it's not pretty. It's very Monk-esque in a way. We don't concede possession as much as we did under Monk, but I bet as much is played in our own half.

"we will keep improving" means that we are currently improving.

We're going backwards.

Admit it though if someone offered you 14 wins from the 16 remaining playing like that you would take it ;) :D
