Freddie Woodman praised Swansea City’s defensive resolve after Steve Cooper’s side kept their ninth clean sheet of the campaign following a 0-0 draw with Bournemouth.
The shares were spoiled at the Liberty Stadium in a tight encounter that saw the Swans move onto 30 points from 17 games.
With a defensive trio that included 20-year-olds Ben Cabango and Joel Latibeaudiere – the latter making his full league debut – the Swans stood strong against a Bournemouth team that were in the Premier League last season.
Woodman did well to deny Junior Stanislas and Welshman David Brooks as he kept the Cherries at bay, while, at the other end, Jamal Lowe went closest for the Swans with a neat first-half effort.
And Woodman was delighted with the efforts of his team-mates as the Swans maintained the best defensive record in the division.
"It was obviously nice to get a clean sheet. It makes things a little bit easier as a goalkeeper when you've got players in front of you that will put their bodies on the line,” said the Swans keeper.
“Joel made a few good blocks, Ben's made good blocks; I thought we defended well. We probably deserved a point.
"They've still got a lot of Premier League quality. They spent a lot of money on players and it's nice to put yourself up against those sorts of players and come away with a clean sheet.
“We're a little disappointed that we didn't create as many chances, but we can come away happy that we did keep a clean sheet.”
