Season 20/21: The Official Swansea City v AFC Bournemouth Match Thread

Tonight's game will probably tell us a lot about any automatic promotion chance we might or might not have, we need to win this match, not the be all and end all but we need to win this match.

Maybe. It’s a long hard slog though and we could be a completely different side in the latter part of the season (like last year). Winning would send a great statement to the league though for sure.

I think we’re still a bit light and goal shy going forward. If we had a Sinclair or a Michu or a Bony, we’d have a good shout for automatic promotion. But we don’t, not even close. Ayew blows hot and cold and is often double marked out of large parts of games, Lowe couldn’t find his arse with both hands, Cullen is raw and naive still, and Gyökeres is a poor man’s Schecter.

If we can keep it tight then we can always nick a goal. That’s what I’m expecting tonight: a cagey game with us trying to restrict them and then hopefully convert one of the few chances we’ll have.

Dont shoot me down ladies , but I fear the worse tmrw. Massive week coming up, and not sure wer at the point to get positive results from both games. No matter how good our defensive record is, I've still a nagging worry wer a bit flaky. I'm afraid it'll be a loss tmrw, but a big response at Legoland will see us get something at least.

Won't be watching, still not finished the door. I've put it off until tonight

May well be the smartest move mate :)

Grimes v Brookes .... Hopefully our talisman will not be outclassed and outplayed !!

Let's hope Brookes has his hands full trying to contain Jake!

Can't see us picking up any points with that back three.. who knows though

The pitch is looking worse every time we play another game

The club should be ashamed of the state of it

I thought after the transfer window closed that we would be competing against Bournemouth, Norwich, Watford, Stoke and Brentford if we were to be in with a shout of automatic, we have already lost away to Norwich all be it away from home, if we don't beat Bournemouth at home tonight then although it's early days Bournemouth might be expected to finish above us, and there is only 2 automatic spots.

I may regret saying this, but I’m confident with Grimes. He’s a lot better defensively than people give him credit for.

It's genuinely getting worse and worse - 15 years we have been at the stadium and the pitch has always looked perfect

Right now it looks as if it is being mistreated - strange how the club have been hugely quiet over it
