• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Quick question. Is it on Swans TV tomorrow?

Only commentary

Should be able to get it via bbc iplayer though?

Thanks Phil - Thomas the local landlord will be around to watch then. Big Swans fan. He and his wife Petra enjoyed their visit to the Railway and the Liberty. After this Covid shit is over I recommend a Ryanair trip to Bremen and the Leierkasten their pub. TNT has already blazed the trail. All Jacks welcome.

When all this sh ite is over I reckon me n TNT will organise a flight and come visit you mate, I'm sure he'd agree, I'll bring the plastic cups :D :D :D :D

For anyone who can't get the game on iplayer etc, I'll post some links up later when they're available, I'm sure there'll be plenty

If there are changes/new guys get a run out, and things dont go to plan today, I hope all on here will look at the bigger picture. Look at thus as a bonus game, win and bring on those manc cvnts, lose...then am not bothered tbh.

STEVE COOPER | THE FA CUP IS NO DISTRACTION, WE WANT TO WIN

Steve Cooper insists the FA Cup is no distraction for Swansea City, and wants to see his side carry on their recent momentum against Nottingham Forest this afternoon.

The Swans are unbeaten in 2021, and their form has seen them climb to second in the Championship table and reach the fourth round of the FA Cup.

With Swansea currently occupying one of the two automatic promotion spots – albeit with an awful lot of football still to be played – much has been made over whether today’s knockout tie comes at a bad time with an important league game against Brentford looming on Wednesday.

But head coach Cooper has made clear that he considers every game in which his players wear the Swansea City badge to be of importance, and he is certainly not viewing the chance to advance in the famous old competition as something he would rather have out of the way.

“This is not a distraction, this is a game we are looking forward to, and a game we are looking to win,” he said.

“We are preparing 100 per cent for it, I just think at the moment the games are coming thick and fast, but you have to accept that because it’s going to be that way until the end of the season.

“Whether it is cup or league, we will do everything we can to try and win.

“We may have an opportunity to make some changes if we want, but it won’t be like Stevenage where we made a lot of changes, they will be changes we think can help us win the game.

“We are one game at a time, I don’t like looking past the next game, you need 100 per cent focus on each day and each game.

“So, right now, that is Forest and the FA Cup, we will pick up for the next league game when it comes.”
