Season 24/25 | The Official Match Thread | Bristol City 0 Swansea City 1 | Att: 21,554 | The EFL Championship

Yeah, I’ve a feeling there’s something to that. Data does seem to be becoming a tail that wags the dog.
Totally. If you get criticised for your stats you will play the Statty game and not try anything that might damage your stats. First thing I'd bin if I were in charge. Can still look at them if you can use them properly, but not as a stick or a carrot to players unless it's something of real value, like a goal or saving a goal, but don't need fancy stats for those.

Oh, especially when you know other stupid clubs will use those very pointless stats to offer you more money!

What did I say…we can defend, we can create,we can score…that’s why we’ll be clear of relegation…must be the only one who has faith mun.

The thing that needs to change is converting chances. Eom, Bianchini and Ronald between them must have had close on 70 plus shots between them this season I doubt we have more than 5 goals.

Cullen has a better conversion rate but needs to be in the box more often at the end of moves, Vip is probably 2 or 3 shots game if he's lucky.

With a different midfield approach we might see all this go in the right direction now.

Only saw second half but what a huge win. Huge. Season defining I suspect.

O’Brien looked very very good. Turn and drive. What we’ve been missing.

Bit of confidence back by getting that win and we should pick up enough now to get safe.

Great spirit was obvious as well.

Feel a lot more positive about our chances than I did this morning.

It's easy when you win. Every place in the world is normally (not always) a happy camp when winning and a rabble when losing. Lots of badge punching today.
I agree, all business, work places are the same. When shit hits fan it's knives out and also when doing well it's other way. But a good leader is someone who doesn't throw people under the bus when it goes wrong. Williams has dome those week in week out. But today, I'll give a free pass. I'll take this positive of group together. We need it even if it's short lived.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I was at the game and don't recall seeing a single yellow card being shown?
No Yellow Card Today. And 6 Minutes added time. Crazy. Ref wasn't awful but I would question Vips foul at half way line. We have had shockers this year, but no cards.

What a day!
I watched the game on my own in silence with breaks away from the screen because I was working and in a small area. I had to wait until I got home to give my feedback :)
I read through the 30 pages with the 20 20 hindsight so the first half comments were hilarious.
I thought we were under the cosh a bit in the first half and Vigs certainly kept us in it but we did have the two best chances in that 45 and were getting better and growing in to the game.
Second half was even better and it looked clear that we were desperate to get something from the game inspite of us still making crazy mistakes. The effort was clear though and even though nerve racking it was bloody enjoyable.
Same as everyone else, 3 stand out performers.
Same as always though, we put more crosses in after Vip went off.
A hugely welcome 3 points and look how much better the game is without the 8th dwarf Grimesy spoiling our play and we have an energised midfielder pulling the strings in his place.

No hiding away from first half and a lot of questions still. But be it the positive vibe or short lived, I think we would all agree the team and the fans needed this to at least have some sight of moving forward from the last month or so.

Has to be said, that first 20 minutes were as bad as it's got, nobody could have complained if we had been 3-0 down, but yes, small margins.

Radio Wales keep calling this game the severnside derby when Swansea ain't anywhere near the River Severn
