• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

But to be serious, we don't deserve to be in the playoffs, and we all know that. Our current position in the table is fair.
We should have beaten Millwall and SW though. They were cack. Our current place in the table isn’t our ‘real’ place. We have Burnley and Leeds coming up (and Watford come to that, they look good). Lose all those and we’ll wish we’d put the dog teams away. We might need to be in the play offs now to weather the coming storm.

Or we could just beat them all, of course. That’d do the job.

Our team is built around the pair of them. Grimes has proven himself across 90 mins, game after game, week after week, month after month. We’ve also got a game on Tuesday so it should be no surprise to see Franco pulled early today, especially as he rarely does ninety.
I bet Franco doesn’t start on Tuesday if Fulton is fit. I would bet a fair bit that it’s only him and Cooper being injured that forced the start with Allen today. Let’s give the benefit to Williams though, he deserves a break after the last few games. Now he needs to show he can actually see further than any regression to the mean.

We should be used to it by now. In the championship you are only ever a few wins away from the playoffs and a few defeats away from the relegation places. Its why its such an entertaining division.
Sure it would be nice to go back up, but it wouldn't be nice to get whumped every week for 9months.
I think this is a great League.
As far as our manager goes, Williams always seems to be on the cusp something equally great and terrible. It just adds to the excitement I suppose.

But we are now. Further indication of how silly it is to look at the league, especially this league, at this stage. You carry on though.
Christ, it was only an observation and comment on the question the 2 radio wales commentators had asked “Dominant again, where would this Swansea team be if they had some killer instinct?”

The same place any other team that had killer instinct would be. Unfortunately its a rare thing.

Great win yesterday with a tough run of fixtures on the horizon.

That was a bit too close after dominating. Bianchini scored a beautiful goal. Some dreadful passing in the last ten minutes nearly cost us all the good work of the rest of the game. I'm not too happy about the timing of the substitutions as it changed the dynamic of the midfield but beyond all of that a very very welcome win with something different than 0 after Swansea. Key had a good game as did Franco apart from his finishing. Grimes was very decent today apart from a few very poor passes. I thought the shape of the team was excellent when Allen was on.
I think us falling apart when Franco goes off is in its own way an indictment on Grimes overall contribution.

Maybe Franco knackers himself out every game while Grimes coasts along not really exerting anywhere near the same level of effort?

I don’t believe Franco was tired. Looked like he had another half an hour in him. Great game from him. If we could pick up another MF from the continent I’d be delighted. Need to work very hard with Franco on his shooting but that’s about all. If he gets scoring he’s gone next summer for 25 million plus

If you’re saying that mental toughness isn’t a mindset then you’re the one talking a load of old cack. Did any side win anything without it?
It's been the difference between Man City and Arsenal over the last couple of seasons.
