The Martin/Williams blueprint involves taking risks in our defensive third. It’s not directly described this way, of courseWilliams, Grimes, Fulton. All the architects of this garbage “philosophy” that tops out in mid table and achieves nothing. Play passing football. But play it quicker. Take risks in the final third, turn forward. Lose the ball, win it back. Play players in their positions. It’s not hard. No one wants Cooperball or route one. Just bin this Martin/Williams shite.
It’s the nouveau way of playing, the play it like Pep approach, the possession stats look great and the youngsters love it. The only issue is that we haven’t got the players to execute it.
