Cullen is our top goa;lscorer. Fulton was my MOTM against Leeds as the biggest part of our defence at Elland. They do their jobs!
Unfortunately perhaps due to the lack of cover in the striker role Cullen is being used as a replacement up top for Vipotnik. He is far more effective when played in the hole rather than leading the line where he lacks almost all of the key attributes to do the lone striker role properlyCullen is our top goa;lscorer. 1 man of the match performance doesn't make up for lackluster performances, season after season. Cullen I'll give you that to some extent. But doesn't turn up as much as he should.Cullen is our top goa;lscorer. Fulton was my MOTM against Leeds as the biggest part of our defence at Elland. They do their jobs!
Spot on. Couldn't of said it better. As I said, if we get a quality number 10 or push Eom into the centre and a striker or 2, Cullen needs to find his place in the squad. Which might be limited. As for Fulton I can't see how anyone can defend or justify his wages and position in the squad. Christie, Pederson, McLaughlin, Yates, TJoe, Fisher, also all gone.Unfortunately perhaps due to the lack of cover in the striker role Cullen is being used as a replacement up top for Vipotnik. Fulton had one good performance, surely all of us hoped it would be a turning point for him but as usual with him it turned out to be a false dawn. There is no denying that he can be a good player, but when the difference between Fulton at his best and Fulton at his worst is so massive and you combine that with seeing "best Fulton" perhaps one game in twenty and "worst Fulton" every other game then he is a liability to the squad and without a doubt the second weakest link in the team behind McLaughlin who fortunately got one cup game and was shoved back into his box afterwards.
I like Cullen, and he has his moments, but sad to say I think his level where he’d contribute a lot more is league 1. As a lone striker he’s worse than that. Fulton looks league 2 most of the time. Both are capable of the odd flash of excellence, but it’s not enough imo. We’ve got Fulton for another season too.I get the Cullen having minutes. I'll never understand what Fulton contributes.
He was lost when he came on against Hull. The pace of the game was too much for him.
Ginger.Fulton has been fine in most of if not all of the games he's played since Grimes left. Many thought he was a MOTM contender at Leeds. Why people continue to single him out for criticism I don't know. Habit maybe.
I could respond to that by directing you to the Hull game where he came on to replace Allen.Fulton has been fine in most of if not all of the games he's played since Grimes left. I reckon his legs have gone at this level.I could respond to that by directing you to the Hull game where he came on to replace Allen.
Not only did we lose the momentum that we had at that point because Fulton just doesn't make himself available through positional sense the same way Allen does but he also committed foul after foul within minutes of coming on. The ref finally had enough when he gave away three fouls in the space of five seconds and booked him.
He's on a decent wage and has offered little in return for what we've paid him.Fulton has been fine in most of if not all of the games he's played since Grimes left. Many thought he was a MOTM contender at Leeds. Why people continue to single him out for criticism I don't know. Habit maybe.
Wales play Cullen as 1 of 2 AMs, and Cooper has played as a box to box running machine . Bellamy seeing things differently. I would keep both options open as their best may well be to come,Unfortunately perhaps due to the lack of cover in the striker role Cullen is being used as a replacement up top for Vipotnik. We also shortly brought Cullen on to lead the line and lacked any kind of out ball for nearly half an hour, but of course it's all Fulton's fault.I could respond to that by directing you to the Hull game where he came on to replace Allen.
