Season 24/25 | The Official Match Thread | Swansea City 0 Coventry City 2 | Att: 15,189 | The EFL Championship

Fortunately I wasn't able to see the game today. On as scale of 1-10 ( with 1 being a bit shit and 10 being fooking appalling) how bad was it. Form an orderly queue, off ew go.👍
I'll give it a 2 out of 10, only avoiding a score of 1 because Coventry didn't net the four or five that they deserved.

Post of The Year, already.

Fortunately this forum still has a voice of reason with the likes of Risc and a few notable others with their fingers truly on our Club’s pulse
Aye cos we looked great when he was here

Well that was a first. I know we’ve retired a shirt number before after the tragic early death of Besian Idrizaj. But I’ve never seen a team retire a position on the pitch before. There was a massive hole in front of our CBs all game. That was awful all over the pitch (with a possible exception of Franco who was doing his job, Grimes’ job and Fulton’s job - who is stealing a living).

We need players on Monday or we’re fked.

We are right in the shit, how toxic was it down there today.
Couple of boos after the goals went in, but never got really toxic . Think it would have if Coventry had got a 3rd and 4th as they should have. Lots of glum, dispirited people almost as if they are resigned to their fate.

Not really toxic, just lots of glum faces and about 8000 people dressed as black seats.

It was very good up until they scored. Best we’ve been for a while at home I thought. Loads of empty seats again though from the SE corner, the south and the west stands.

Can't disagree with any of that

Never put me in charge of a live text service, you would only get non stop satire
I couldn't believe it myself. I said to my mate who sits next to me, " fuck didn't know Christie has a big throw!, look cbs are coming up for this, their loading the box."
Ball lands before the near post. "Hahaha turns out he hasnt".

That really was the most disjointed, abject, totally dysfunctional performance I've witnessed since the bad old days; it absolutely screamed relegation. Starting to think whoever we get in (if anyone) before the transfer window closes will be too little, too late.

Trying my best not to be too dramatic, but I think we're done for.

Clearly someone who’s played the game to a decent level- your consistently insightful posts put you head n shoulders above some of the challenged non-football shouty types.

A gaping chasm - and hapless Franco showed what a seismic shift we now need post Matty
(Edit - soz meant to be a reply to Leon’s recent post re Matty, and the massive gap)

We did exactly the same thing again Norwich. Massive build up and didn’t beat the first man, who I think was only just inside the box 🙈
