One more win against Plymouth should see us over the line.

After that I imagine that conversations with various manager candidates would have a very different atmosphere knowing that we would certainly be a Championship club again next season.

Likewise any contract talks with Darling.

I agree in general, but I think Darling is looking for a big pay day and I think he’ll get it from somewhere. Would be surprised to see him back next season.

That was a tough watch but Derby's tactics contributed to that. Sheehan said he'd watched their last 4 wins (they'd won 4 of the last 5), so he clearly knew what to expect and he set us up accordingly. Derby obviously set out to bully teams - long throw ins from anywhere in the final third, lots of balls in the air (the head tennis in the first five minutes set the scene). And they time wasted from the very start. The only surprise for me is that we played Cullen up front - he looked like a little boy against their giant defenders. We're normally not very good against teams like that so 3pts is very welcome. I expect a totally different performance against Plymouth. Also, I'm so glad we didn't end up with Eustace when we were considering him a few years ago.

I’d accept that argument if we’d lost. We took the 3 points.

Someone earlier mentioned Carvahal vs Liverpool. Must I remind that we beat Liverpool 1-0 by an Alfie Mawson goal.

I remember Carvahal saying something like they came to Swansea with a Ferrari and he wanted to create a traffic jam so they couldn’t get out of first gear. It worked. Now, Derby is obviously no Liverpool, so I get it.

When you come in as a new manager with a side fighting to stay up you’re likely coming into a club with a subpar squad. I think we’d all agree that our side the season of relegation from the prem and our squad this season were/are both a bit threadbare. Anyways, an ugly result is still a result.
Get your points. And don't over disagree. But as another person mentioned Derby is not Liverpool and though our team is not at level it was, we have players who are better than what was put out today. It worked. We got 3 points. But this will back fire on Sheehan if he gets role full time as we rode our luck and you won't get away with this style each week with Fulton in it.

Cullen was wrong choice for today. Also does he ever win a header. He sees it coming, but looked lost. VP on other hand his hold up play and pass has massively improved. He needed to start. Eustace I would agree too on 👍👍
