• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Not a team we've played that often for some reason, but our last win in the league against them was in 1960!

Would expect Key to come back into the side, but I'd be tempted to keep Cullen & Vip instead of bringing Joe back in. Would also like to see us try something different to MPH on the left.

Is Darling likely to be fit?

Got to be Cullen and Vip after midweek, surely? I half understand Allen against sides we're likely to struggle for possession against as he's great at leading the press, but home to Portsmouth is a game for Cullen and Vip to go hell for leather.

Can't believe I'm saying this, as I've never rated him as anything other than a nicely instinctive finisher, but Cullen has looked fantastic in that #10 role over the last month

Even though they are bottom, it wouldn't surprise me if Portsmouth sell their allocation for Saturday. They are a proper old-skool club with incredible support.
Yes they have sold out. It says that in the Match Thread Introduction. 👍🏼

Looking at the next eight games in the run-up to the next transfer window opening, we have a fighting chance of making progress. Whisper it quietly, though... 🤫

This was with predicting the results up until January. 5 wins - 2 draws.

Beat Pompey, Plymouth, Hull, QPR and Luton (H)

Draw Luton (a), Sunderland (h).

This mini run over the next month will be a true yest of where we are. Got to be beating clubs around & below us - Derby was a good start.

I like this, MPH had a good game at Oxford, but has mostly been a passenger since!
I'd either go Christie at RB with Key further up, or start with Bianchini as you say.
He had a fantastic match at the Liberty a few games back too. I can’t remember which one, but he bossed the first half. I got my hopes up then, but he’s been poor since.

I hate the term "home banker" but Portsmouth are in a very rough patch at the moment and are rock bottom of the league. We have some ground to make if we want to have any chance of trying to hit the top six this season and this is the kind of game that we must take all 3 points from.

Vipotnik up top and Cullen in the hole again for me please.
Yep. I would like to see a statement today. It’ll be tough physically after 3 games in 7 days (Portsmouth haven’t played since before the international break). But we need to boss this one. I’m not expecting lots of goals, as we obviously struggle there, but hope we put in a really dominant performance and come away with 3 points.
