• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

And that was precisely the reason why we won't make the play offs. Time n again against sides above us we clearly lack the mentality and fitness to see out games.
How we can capitulate like that is unforgivable. Excellent first half hour just means nothing now.
I'm not having the tiredness excuse from LW, they had same run as us and were magnificent...but only cos we fell apart.
Yet again, gifting the opposition is getting fckn monotonous.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news. We will beat and draw against enough dog teams to maybe top out at 12th-14th. Hell, we might even make the Martincrap zenith of 10th. Williams is ok but he ain’t getting us higher than mid table. He, like most of our players, simply is bang average, at best. We’ll do better against Hull. QPR and Luton again, or he might as well pack his bags, because lose those and he has nothing.
The fitness thing worries me, we don't look it. And the prospect of 3 games in 5 /6 days worries me...no matter who we play.

We always lose one, draw one and win one in these three game weeks.

Shouldn't have bothered turning up today

Eteb told me that we play the best footy in Europe. How come we keep getting beat then?

We’re dog turd, clueless and rudderless. This club is sleep walking into League 1, give it a year or two.

Not going to read back through this thread but the root cause of that shower of shit was the 2 non entities standing out wide for us coupled with the fact their 2 wingers seemed to have the freedom of the city.
The game really opened up in the second half and we had absolutely nowhere to go.
Shit, Luke doesn’t sound happy either.

Not sure why we are talking about the playoffs.. this squad is barely a top 10 at best.

Who thought at 2-0 today if Sunderland score before half time is is going to unravel very quickly.

Totally agree with a lot on this thread. The hybrid 5 man defence which should be a 4, the ball warchers and the high risk dribblers all contributes to our downfall against the better sides.

0 points from 18 against the top 6 says it all

Don't think it opened up at all second half, more like one way traffic for most of it. On a separate issue, have any other teams got a more inadequate substitutes bench than us? The only thing it ever does game after game is make us weaker.

Cabango is fine when asked to play as a conventional central defender.
If you ask him to win his aerial duels and then move the ball on to someone else who can actually be responsible for possession and create opportunities he is a solid defender.

If you ask him to play it out from the back and expect him to be Ashley Williams then you will be consistently disappointed because he always has that mistake in him.
Judging him on that basis, on the evidence of the past month, he hasn't being doing the stuff he's supposed to be half decent at.

Said it for ages - i would not break the bank for this guy. If he signs the contract being offered, fine, but if he's jonesing for more cash we should tell him to do one. He's a League One + centre half at best, lucky to be playing at this level.

As.an advert. for Championship Football , YES, but for once we.failed to keep ball convincingly

Exactly.
Maybe entertaining for the neutral, but again the season will now fizzle out in March.

Great post. He’s a decent player for us but Franz Beckenbauer he isn’t.

I thought Sunderland were superb in the 2nd half, just as good as Leeds when they visited.

Our capitulation was pathetic. Sunderland clearly changed tactics 2nd half and we didn't. Poor leadership on and off the pitch. However, the better team won and showed their grit.
