• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

We are clearly not working on anything different in training, or at least we’ve not seen it tonight.

Grimes deeper than the CB’s on multiple occasions, Fulton playing three yard passes at every opportunity, and the striker out of the game.

Flat.

Cooper making space but passing backwards more often than not, Toe also could look to play forward as him Ped seem to playing keep ball.

Abdulai be better in the middle and have Eom on to open them up better.

We need to be a bit more offensive and up the tempo a bit..

How can you say that ? Cabango's free kick was straight off the training ground......where the ball is still heading !

An odd free kick routine, Cabango is hardly known for his long range striking ability
Seemed a perfect chance for an outswinger for Zan to attack
My thoughts exactly, I mean wtf, Fulton and Grimes standing over it, Fulton taps it to Grimes who lays it on for . . . . . . Cabango?? I'm shouting at the set, just cross it for Zan!! 🙄

For a game we are totally dictating and can basically do what we want, 4 shots on target is atrocious

Half time thoughts:

Vigouroux hasn't had to do anything all game, as easy a game as he will ever get
Naughton has been active, trying his best to get Abdulai to attack but its not his game
Cabango has been fine so far, can't blame him for his inability to shoot from 30 yards for that free kick!
Pedersen has won most of whats come at him in the air, solid defensively and good passing
Tjoe-A-On has been very encouraging. Based on this I want to keep him at the club as Tymon's understudy
Grimes is playing too cautiously at the moment, Gillingham are there for the taking we just need to be more cutthroat
Fulton as usual plays 99% of the game looking down at the ball and back to goal, offers so so little it undermines us
Cooper has been linking well with Ronald on the left, looking more like the player from 3 years ago
Abdulai is not a winger, can't blame him for that its just not his game and he is forced to fill a gap right now
Ronald best player on the pitch, is surely starting to run out of new ways to beat his man in the second half
Vipotnik has shown some neat one touch plays, a half chance or two but not really been given service yet

Overall
If we play with our midfield about 5-10 yards further up the pitch we will get a lot more joy here. Can see us bringing on the other new boys in the second half to help get more minutes together and hopefully a confidence boosting goal or two before PNE

That’s pretty much as I see it.

To be fair its only half the story.
7 shots
4 on target
8 interceptions
1 blocked shot
6 clearances

Its not like we haven't been attacking them

Fair assessment

8/11 successful dribbles, probably almost all of those have come from Ronald

We are playing too deep especially for this one.

Cross conversion 1 from 8 is shocking to be fair

Difficult when you're playing against a ten man block. People just think it's a given to stuff teams like this
