Season 24/25 | The Official Match Thread | Swansea City vs Wycombe Wanderers | The Carabao Cup

Why does everyone complain that Abdulai is played in the wrong position, yet when people pick a team, they pick him in the same out of position. If Abdulai plays, I'd like to see what he can do in the position he's supposed to play.
Exactly, it could turn out that he has a blinder which would be ideal seeing as CM is an area of concern, IMO!

The game has to be used for learning purposes, square pegs in square holes wherever possible.

Vigo
Naughton
Toe
Abbey
Pedersen
Abdulai (as DM)
Allen (for minutes in legs, not 90 though)
Eom
Flo
Cullen (as 10)
Zan the man

Play with zip and intent, bag a few goals and then rotate.

Allen off, Fulton on
Zan off, Josh Thomas on
Someone else off, youngster on

The two games that stand out there are the second leg of the Autoglass and the League Cup in 2006. The Autoglass Trophy was Wycombe's first season in the league and the pitch invasion caused quite a stir at the time.
The league cup in 2006/07 was the start of a cup run that took us to the Semi-final, drew at home with Chelsea before Mourinho played a full strength team in the second leg that beat us 4-0 at the Bridge.

I'm really looking forward to Wednesday and it should be interesting, Wycombe are short through injury and probably won't have the quality to stand against most of the options that Swansea can field. But if the Swans play the way they did in the second half yesterday the game could open up.

Eom should play 10 with Joe A behind and Abdullai With Flo wing and Zan to link Eom who is very strong and intelligant

Watched their 2-0 win over Rotherham highlights. No mugs these hopefully we are up for it.
