• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

I really didn't think yesterday was that bad that we should be talking about Sheehan's future. Yes, as an attacking force we looked crap, but it's game 1, new players are still bedding in and we know that Vipotnik and Cullen aren't up to it, that's why the club is trying to sign a decent striker.

I don't like us losing, ever. But losing as we did yesterday I can grudgingly accept. What I can't accept is games like Pompey, Cardiff, Norwich and Coventry last season under Williams where it was just utter nonsense, schoolboy football, total lack of professionalism. We've never seen that under Sheehan.

Let's lay off the guy and give him a chance. He kept us up last season and he did it brilliantly. He has earned a fair crack at it.
Even with new players you'd expect to see some semblance of a plan, moves that have been practiced etc.

There was nothing. Zilch. Barely strung a pass together all game and makes you think what the fuck they've done all summer as we barely pressed either

See, these "fans" calling for Sheehan's head after one game don't understand football even in the slightest. Personally I think they should be banned from all forms of social media for the sake of their own sanity.

watching the championship game today and BOTH sides look as if they had a plan that had been worked on and that is a worry even tho it is early days but when a side like Sheffield wednesday with the preseason they have had look as good as they did first half does make you think
Now i want Alas Sheehan to do well and yes he does need a few games and we do need more guys in a s a p but never the less a concern

Sheehan deserves a lot of heat from yesterday's performance. It was alarm bells bad. Talking to work colleagues today and most were speechless. Snoop Dog won't pick up the club morale after that.

Some people will always want, and be more forgiving of, a 'big name ' manager.

Fair enough. It wasn't the best performance, but we were one laps of concentration away from picking up in my opinion a deserved point at traditionally a very difficult place to go.
It was crap though swan. I can accept loosing if we're trying to play football and attack. Yesterday was devoid of everything other than aimlessly pumping into the channel

Aye, we looked undercooked for sure, I expect some activity with incoming's this week ahead. We have the chance to become a top 10 side this season comfortably with 2 or 3 more signings imo.

If they gone up there and played attacking football, then you wouldn't have heard a peep about Sheehan. That performance was so bad, it's seeds doubt if he is actually upto this job.

It's not like yesterday was his first game in change, is it? He was in change for the last few months of the previous season. Did you think he was up to the job in May last season?

btw - I'm not claiming he's definitely going to succeed just because we had a decent run at the tail end of least season, but let's not act like yesterday was the first time we've ever seen a Sheehan team play.
